چکیده
Abstract A recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) aims to achieve fish production with negligible discharge into the environment. RASs have been applied for in several countries, but nitrate removal is often a limiting factor increases. In this study, pilot-scale RAS (10 tons of fish/year) was connected water treatment field which consisted denitrifying woodchip bioreactor (9 m × 14 m) filled birch woodchips (Betula pendula), constructed wetland (7.5 6 m), and sand infiltration (16 31 high quality low-maintenance units. wetland, perennial common reed (Phragmites australis) used well-drained soil nutrient re-use. Concentrations different elements, diluted anions, selected hydrocarbons were monitored quantified. Some Mn leaching occurred during stage. However, concentrations decreased towards end experiment. total-Fe increased up 2.75 mg L?1 5 stage field, probably due anoxic conditions fine particles. This type process design offers effective circulating water.

متن کاملMicrocontrollers in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems
Closed-system aquaculture presents a new and expanding commercial opportunity; however, presently there are few profitable commercial operations. Intensive aquaculture systems require a sufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients in temperaturecontrolled water with a means of removing wastes from the system. In properly controlled recirculating aquaculture systems, stocking rates of up to one-hal...

This paper reported the pollutant removal performances of a hybrid wetland system for the treatment of aquaculture wastewater. The system consisted of two treatment stages: a subsurface vertical flow (VF) wetland, followed by a horizontal flow (HF). The aquaculture wastewater with the different concentrations such as eutrophy and mesotrophy was treated using hybrid constructed wetland. The expe...
متن کاملBiological phosphate removal in a prototype recirculating aquaculture treatment system
Efforts to reduce phosphorus concentrations in aquaculture systems have mainly dealt with improving the bioavailability of phosphorus in fish feed. Once released into the culture water, phosphorus is generally left untreated and discharged with the effluent water. In the present study, results are presented on a prototype recirculating treatment system originally designed for removal of organic...
